Ohio Statuary Vote

Every 30 years Ohio changes its statuary representations in the nation’s Capitol Building Statuary Hall. Ohio’s current statues are of William Allen 1886 (former Governor of Ohio) and President James A. Garfield. A new Ohio representative will be chosen from a list of historically important Ohioans: James Ashley, Thomas Edison, Ulysses S. Grant, William McCulloch, Jesse Owens, Judith Resnik, Albert Sabin, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Harriet Taylor Upton, Orville and Wilbur Wright.

MARCC Regarding Affordable Housing: Metropole Apartments

On November 2, 2009 MARCC submitted a letter to the Department of Housing & Urban Development requesting no action be taken removing the tenants from the Metropole Apartments until a plan for the tenants was established for relocation in the Downtown Community thereby keeping affordable housing units in the neighborhood to maintain economic and racial diversity.

MARCC is e-mailing to judicatories leaders and delegates and posting the following statement written by the Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless and advocates asking the faith community to get involved. …  read more »
