What We’re Doing Now for Homelessness/Affordable Housing

Our Action Plan for 2011 is to:

  • Learn what local housing groups are doing through contact with boards and programs.
  • Provide information and interpret housing and shelter needs to public policy makers, funders, congregations, and judicatories.
  • Learn, interpret, inform larger community that homeless people are underserved, especially those with addictions, mental health problems, poverty, low education, unemployment, veterans disabilities.
  • Inform faith community of ways to help serve homeless individuals and families.
  • Listen to and include the homeless and those in need of affordable housing in the advocacy process.
