Alert from City Manager’s Advisory Group Re: Use of Force Incident

Upon the request of the City Manager, we are posting this alert in order to insure that all the facts are told.

There was a use of force incident this afternoon at Spring Grove and Mitchell Avenue.  It happened during a traffic stop; the driver opened fire on the police, then ran and tried to get into another car.  Two police officers pursued him, and he opened fire again.  There was a fatality.  No officers were hurt. 

This is the information we have received so far from City Manager Dohoney.  More details will follow as they are known.  Please get the word out to your local congregations.
